Since 2003, Teule source water from a 216 meters deep borehole that taps into a fresh water aquifer. For many years, we used a three phase interface electricity pump to draw water into our four (10,000 liters each) storage tanks. The water is then supplied to Chombo Cha Upendo home, Teule Leadership Academy, the Teule Farm and Dairy, the Teule Guest House, and the community .Through the support of generous partners, grans and CSTR from Davis and Shirtliff, we received a solar inverter to help pump water with solar energy. The solar inverter has greatly decreased cost and increased efficiency of the project.
